CTE Promotional Poster

Here is my poster.  This project definitely took the most effort of all of them, save maybe the vector car illustration. I tried to post the PDF but it was not supported.  I sent it over via email. I made several different versions before settling on this one.  I tried to tie the colors together and I like how I made the computer and the waves around it. I also like the monkey a lot. Here are some earlier versions that I got feedback on from Mr. Wilson and my friends and decided to change: I liked the boxes on this one because they kind of tied the colors together, but they also made it look unfinished and weird. I also changed the text and I think it looks better now. I still like this one to be honest.  I got feedback that the filagree clashed with the green and white in the background, which is why I switched it to the white part. Rectangles look bad. Magazine Cover

I decided to hand-write the title and use the photoshop pencil tool to make it look more antique.  I would have like to finished it more in Indesign but I'm going to work my portfolio first.  When I finish I may return to this to fix up the typography and add more elements to it.

Final Logo Designs

I showed my two final designs in black and white, as well as a blank scaleable bee that can be used for decoration and shows the art in its most neutral form, without the circle or text.  The bottom is the letterhead I used for the identity kit.  It not only shows how the logo will be used, it also fills up the bottom of the page nicely.

Logo Design Identitiy Kit

I made a logo for my old school library because the librarian wants me to design her one.  This will be one of the ideas I'll present to her for the library. I didn't use designs on the back of the business card because I wasn't sure what other information to include.  I didn't want to include the school's address or the librarians' real names because it felt weird to post that on my blog.  Since the card isn't for one person, it would be hard to find contact information for the library.  For this reason I don't think this card would have a backside, except for the blank white back shown underneath it. I wanted to put the logo on the cover of a book but I couldn't find a good template.  I used the ideas and templates that I had.  I ended up making several variations on the logo for the different products.  All of them are black and white.  The white detail bees fill in blank space while showing how the logo would function in negative color. ...

Package Design

Here is the flat map version of my package design.  I will have photos soon but not now because the SD card in the camera wasn't working the first time I tried to take photos. I also wanted to include my rough draft to show progress: It got a little bit messed up and the layers were mixed together which made it more difficult.  I also thought the design looked busy and a friend told me I should make it smaller.  I made the design elements smaller and centered them.  I also made my own nutrition facts label because I couldn't find a good template.  Overall I like the result except for the fact that the nutrition facts are upside-down when printed.
